Oh those pesky legislators

I don't know about you kids but I am a little tired of how our taxpayer dollars are being spent by some of our elected officials. What with the trend of hiding in bushes to spy on public assemblies (Bachman's follies) and poor grammar (check out the following link and tell me if you think he really meant Prospective... an elected official no less).

I wish our elected officials would do three things:
1) Represent the people - not their people
2) Realize the longevity of their actions and behave accordingly (look to the recent environmental legislative repeals and do the math on what odds you think you have for a future with clean water and natural resources).
3) If you are moralizing with our money and acting upon your personal spiritual beliefs - STOP IT! You are not an arcangel sent to save the world - all you are is an elected spokesperson of the people. We did not ask you to dictate to us how we are to live. We did, when we elected you, expect you to take your seat, listen carefully and represent us all!

As for my wishes for the rest of us:

Sleep well, keep your energy up for the good fight and keep your ear to the ground!

There most certainly is an attack that is about to occur. It is an all out assault on the freedoms we currently enjoy as Americans. Pay attention and act while you can on those things dearest to your heart and your liberty.

That's all for tonight.

Mrs. P
